News and Words of Power
The holidays are all about connection, making it one of the best times to forge that relationship with potential leads- and strengthen bonds with the existing ones. Here is my list of favorite content topics that can help you demonstrate the human element that makes up your business:
1. How Does Your Company Give Back?
Do you contribute to a specific cause? Do members of your staff volunteer or help spread awareness of a community resource? Is there a charity or foundation within your niche that your readers might be interested in? These are all great foundations for social media and blog postings. Especially if they come with personal stories and experiences!
2. Holiday Tips
Whatever your niche, there is always something you can share with your readers to enrich their holidays. For example:
There is always a little something you can impart to your guests that will be meaningful and helpful to them. If you need help brainstorming, visit me in the contact page, and I’ll give you 1-2 ideas useful you your niche- no obligations or strings attached as my holiday gift to you!
3. A Heartfelt Thank-You.
Everyone loves to be appreciated and acknowledged. Thank your readers in your social media. Thank your clients (in whole, then your VIPs individually via email), An employee that really went above and beyond this year. I read in a Reader’s Digest article how one CEO even wrote out thankyou notes to the parents of each of his employees, which established many good relationships. There is no end to the potential to show just how much you care about the people that are connected to your company!
4. Other Ideas
And of course, there are a host of other well-known ideas, such as Holiday Gift Guides, Review posts, and reports of end of year trends or predictions for the following year. These will be useful to you for engaging your customers, but also keep in mind they are more for informing and delving into what the reader cares about than about connecting and sharing a human element of your business.
These are a few solid ideas to give you a meaningful boost in your holiday content plans. Done right, you can create a human connection that will carry through the next year!
